The Ulrich Museum of Art offers paid employment opportunities for Wichita State University students during the academic year and the summer. The role of the gallery attendant and event staff is to provide excellent visitor service, while ensuring museum policies are followed. The individual in this role will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, all of which ensure the safety and security of the artwork, our visitors and the smooth execution of programs and events. Work schedules for student staff are flexible to accommodate class schedules and include some evening and weekend hours.

Being an art student and working at the Ulrich helped fill my tool belt with skills that are helpful to the field. Like how to patch walls, proper ways to handle art, etc. Also, you get to know people that are working artists or art consumers.
