Become a Docent

Ulrich docents are enthusiastic, knowledgeable volunteers who lead learning experiences with students and adults in our galleries and the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection. The Ulrich Museum Tour Program welcomes thousands of K-12, college students, and adult groups each year.

Ulrich docents come from a wide range of professions and backgrounds and our volunteers gain lifelong learning opportunities in the arts, enjoy shared interests with fellow docents and Museum staff, and have opportunities to engage directly with our visiting artists and speakers from around the world. A background in Art History or Education is not required. Our Docent training program will provide all of the resources necessary to prepare you to become a successful docent.

To join the Ulrich Docent team, please complete the Docent Application Form and our Education department will contact you to schedule training. If you have difficulty completing the online application or have questions, please contact Ulrich Education at ulrich.education@wichita.edu.
