In collaboration with the WSU Department of Anthropology’s Archaeology faculty and students, sculptor Randy Regier will give an artist’s talk in the form of a staged field demo, beside his outdoor sculpture, The Celestial Mechanic (2018). Regier will open the clear dome that encases the partially excavated figure, for a rare close look at the work, discussing his process as it connects to archeological procedures and theories. Everyone is welcome to this free 5:30 p.m. reception with a program following at 6 p.m. This event takes place outdoors on campus, near The Celestial Mechanic. Search the Martin H.
