One Small Step is an initiative of StoryCorps, a national oral history non-profit organization. One Small Step invites two strangers with different political views to sit down together for a respectful facilitated conversation. The audio of this conversation is recorded and archived in the Library of Congress, with permission from participants. One Small Step is not about debating political issues, but a chance for two people with different backgrounds and beliefs to share stories and experiences that have shaped their values and worldviews. In these divisive times, One Small Step seeks to bring people together who may not otherwise interact, and creates a space where they can share, listen, and connect with one another.
StoryCorps facilitators are coming to the Ulrich Museum Sept. 7-9 to record One Small Step conversations in-person. If you would like to participate in one of these important conversations, please use THIS LINK to sign up ASAP. When filling out the questionnaire, please specify that you would like to participate in-person. Space is limited, so sign up today!
