5:30 P.M. Reception | 6:00 P.M. Program. If you cannot attend in person, click here for the livestream. Annabel Daou is a Lebanese American artist known for her poetic conceptual pieces that often mine history and use language across multiple media to empower viewers in the present moment. She will address her works in which multiple voices, responses, or participation are involved. The Ulrich recently acquired her sound installation DECLARATION, which expanded the Museum’s holdings in media arts as well as adding to its collection of works by women of color. DECLARATION is currently on exhibit in WSU’s Grace Memorial Chapel. Daou will discuss the sound installation, as well as her belief that each one of us has the power to contribute to large-scale social movements through a surprisingly wide range of possible actions.
