Matt Strange

Matt Strange of "The 5M Collection." We are a husband and wife from Dallas, Texas that have been collecting for over 12 years. We travel and relocate across the United States for work purposes and have the wonderful experience of getting exposed to many different artist and art forms.  We are art and museum advocates who work to support emerging and established artists with a specific focus on women artist, queer artist and artist of color.  Additionally, we also collect artist in each region we live in across the country. We have not always had such a singular focus, but as we have matured as collectors our focus and vision has become more refined as to what we collect. We have lived in Wichita, Kansas for the last five years and became very attached to the community and those who keep it moving forward. We currently reside in Kansas City and would love to work with the museum to help and enrich the museum in any way we can.

Our collection includes work by many well-known artist with museum presence such as Nick Cave, Deborah Roberts, Salvador Dali, Jammie Holmes, Vanessa German, Brenna Youngblood, Zeh Palito, Kennedy Yanko, Derrick Adams, Hank Willis Thomas, Amani Lewis, Emmanuel Taku, Harold Smith, Wonderbuhle Mbambo, Jackie Saccoccio, Karen Kunc, Joanne Greenbaum, Arthur Osver, John Key, Frederick J. Brown and Birger Sandzen.
