Donna Perline taught in the Wichita Public School system before joining Wichita State University as an administrative assistant to Dr. Kathleen Camin in the Economics Department. After working other jobs in the Wichita area, Donna returned to Wichita State as Training Coordinator for the WSU Small Business Development Center and several years later was promoted to Business Consultant. She also worked as a Seasonal Consultant for WSU Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR). Donna holds a high appreciation for volunteer work, having served in leadership roles with numerous organizations including Exploration Place Board Member, Vice-Chairperson for the National Alliance for Nonviolent Programming, Chairperson of the City of Wichita Cultural Funding Committee and WSU Performing Arts Angels Board Member among others. In recognition of her many volunteer roles, Donna received the key to the City of Wichita in 1996. She also received the Wichita Arts Council Arts Advocate Award in 2015. In her retirement, she considers herself a "community volunteer." Donna and her husband, Martin (WSU Economics Professor Emeritus), have been arts supporters in Wichita for over 55 years. Donna received her B.S. from Ohio State University and attended graduate school at Wichita State.
