Artist Molly Adams, wearing beaded jewery she created.

Learn how to bead with artist, scholar, community maker, and advocate, Molly Murphy Adams (Oglala, Lakota), who specializes in contemporary sculptural beadwork practices. Molly will share her knowledge of beading in conjunction with artisan traditions represented in the Ulrich’s Art, Identity, and Innovation pop-up exhibition, where her work Cedar Root Basket (2020) is on display. This program will begin with a lecture, followed by a beading demonstration. Participants will create their own piece to take home. This class is limited to 20 participants. There is a $5 fee for this workshop and preregistration is required.
