Singers in dark costumes sing in a line.

In Divide Light film, filmmaker Ed Robbins documents the unique performance piece/opera, Divide Light, which was conceived and created by artist Lesley Dill with music composed by Richard Marriott. In this piece with lyrics inspired by Emily Dickenson, the singers wear lavish handmade costumes designed by Dill that expand, unfold, unravel, and transform during the performance. The piece is performed by eight opera singers of the New Camerata Opera Company, alongside the Curiosity Cabinet Quintet.
